The Tokyo Architecture Festival is a festival that provides a wide range of people with an opportunity to experience Tokyo's diverse architecture and to enjoy it by coming into contact with the various thoughts of those who make it, those who use it, and those who preserve it. It is important for the festival to be built not only with the organizers but also with many people, including donations, sponsors, builders, guides, general recruitment staff, and local residents.
By opening up and familiarizing the general public with the act of enjoying architecture, the purpose of this project is to spread and expand architectural culture and to rediscover the charm of Tokyo.

[Tokyo Architectural Festival Executive Committee]
The Tokyo Architectural Festival Executive Committee is an industry-academia-government collaborative organization established by members from various perspectives, including architecture experts, companies, government, and the media, who agree with the significance of architectural events in Tokyo. Shunsuke Kurakata (Architectural historian and professor at Osaka Metropolitan University), chairperson of the executive committee, has been actively engaged in activities to open up specialized knowledge of architecture to the public through his books, architecture festivals around Japan, and many other projects he has been involved in since its inception. Other members of the committee are also engaged in activities aimed at fostering civic pride through building experiences for the general public.
