Profile

【MAO WORKS】
A theatrical unit led by Mao Tamura, established in 2023 with the aim of creating new expressions in opposition to works with a sense of deja vu. The group was established in 2023 with the one-man play "M. Salome" written, directed and performed by Tamura. Aiming for a challenging and powerful experience, he created a bold and pop stage by rapping with original music and inserting scenes like Tamura's unique hallucinations and fables. Addressing issues of high contemporaneity, such as lookism, sexual exploitation, and adolescent discomfort. It performs dark works that are both pop and sharply critical.
