Business Overview

This work is an adaptation of Schubert's' The Watermill House 'in "The Girl in the Beautiful Watermill House" by replacing it with Shinjuku Kabuki-cho, which once had many rivers and is now a town of water merchants. The girl in the original story also sells flowers. The main character is played by countertenor Nakajima Toshiharu, actor Oguchi Shunya and dancer Kurotaki Yasushi. Other performers include actors, dancers, and a small orchestra composed of violinist Mayuko Ishigami and guitarist Gensuke Kanki.
In addition, based on Fuse's hypothesis that the romantic performance style began in the era of Schubert and ended in the era of Hibari MISORA, he pursued a performance style that used a lot of portamento. A piece that Hibari Misora sang in Shinjuku was also included, and the venue was the famous music cafe "Ojo" (now Ojo Building) where she once visited. With the great cooperation of people who live here every day, it was created by carefully weaving the land and time.
