[Yumiko Tanaka]
She majored in musicology at the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Graduate School. He learned Gidayu-shamisen from Kinshi NOZAWA, the late Living National Treasure of Bunraku, and Gidayu-bushi from Komanosuke TAKEMOTO, a female Gidayu. 1990: Received the Minister of Education's Award for Fine Arts. In 2009, as Yumi TSURUSAWA, who was a master of the Showa period and the fourth Koshijidayu TAKEMOTO, became a member of Gidayu-bushi Preservation Society and was certified as an Important Intangible Cultural Property.
In order to bring the acoustic world of the Gidayu-shamisen to life in the same era, he performed and composed music in various music scenes in Japan and abroad, including improvisation, contemporary music, theater music, film music, and popular music, and engaged in a variety of expressive activities.
