Business Overview

The second "Ouchi Hiraki" is an event organized by the Mejirodai House Revitalization Project Team to open the Mejirodai House, a cultural property built over 100 years ago in Mejirodai, Bunkyo Ward, to the community.
In particular, this year's theme was "Participation and Experience: Let's Participate in the History of the Mejirodai House and Community."
This year, in addition to the Kissa Oimatsu, which continued last year as a venue for exhibitions and exchanges that introduce the history of the buildings and the region, we also held the Summit on the Utilization of Ancient Buildings to discuss with people engaged in community planning using ancient buildings. Through research results and dialogue with local people, we created an opportunity to think about the future use of houses in Mejirodai. In addition, visitors were able to participate in hands-on activities, such as painting the bulletin board and voting in the final round of the veranda renovation plan.
