Profile
【Hankyu Corporation(Tokyo Takarazuka Theater)】
Ichizō Kobayashi, who founded Hankyu Railway, Hankyu Department Store, and Toho, established the Takarazuka Revue as part of an effort to attract passengers to his railway services.
It is one of the few theater companies in the world whose performers are exclusively women, and it introduced Japan’s first revues. It stages a wide range of productions—Japanese classical literature, Western musicals, and more—spanning both Japanese and Western genres.
This subsidized project was a production adapted, directed, and translated (lyrics) by Taichi Inaba of the Takarazuka Revue, and performed by the Moon Troupe of the Takarazuka Revue.
