Profile

【Sony Music Foundation】
The Sony Music Foundation was established in 1984 by the late Norio Ohga, former Chairman of Sony, as the Sony Music and Arts Promotion Foundation. Renamed the Sony Music Foundation to expand its social contribution initiatives, the non-profit organization has been active for over 40 years.
The Foundation promotes new and engaging ways for people — from infants to young audiences — to experience the beauty and depth of classical music, while also nurturing and supporting emerging artists.
Through a wide range of educational and outreach programs, the Foundation offers children diverse musical experiences and strives to create an environment where every child has the opportunity to develop rich sensibilities and an appreciation for music.
