Business Overview

This project was launched on the occasion of the 50 year anniversary of Live Music JIROKICHI. The purpose of this project was to connect the region and the world through music and to create a place where people could experience multicultural exchange throughout Koenji. New Orleans representative sousaphone player Kirk Joseph and steel pan player Gregory Boyd were invited, and in addition to live house performances and talk sessions, brass band parades and street concerts were held. JIROKICHI's leading musicians and local brass bands participated in the project, and the staff consisted of JIROKICHI management staff and local people. Through these programs, musical exchanges between generations and nationalities were developed to pass on musical culture and bridge it to the next generation.

Based in Koenji, Suginami Ward, Tokyo, they have continuously held live performances of various genres such as jazz, blues and world music. Since its establishment, it has invited musicians who are active at the forefront in Japan and abroad and acted as a base for transmitting music culture rooted in the region.
