Business Overview

BONIN ISLAND JAZZ is a music event held on Ogasawara Island, a World Natural Heritage Site, for five days from November 27, 2025 to December 1. In addition to Motoharu, Koyu, Kii, Wataru Oyama, Ayami Tanaka, Masaki Otawa, Takenoki Matsushita, and Sun, local musicians, children, and local residents participated in a variety of programs, including live performances, sessions, workshops, environmental projects, island excursions, broadcasts, and exchange programs. In particular, the performance and distribution in harmony with the natural environment and the 100 member band project received a great response. The event was run mainly by volunteer staff with cooperation from both inside and outside the community, creating a place to connect music and nature, culture and people.

【BONIN ISLAND JAZZ Executive Committee 】
A voluntary organization made up of volunteers from inside and outside the Ogasawara Islands. Music events are held with the cooperation of local and professional engineers. Starting with the "ISLAND JAZZ @ THE EARTH in Ogasawara 2016" in 2016 as part of the "Thank you! Ogasawara-maru/Hajima-maru" campaign, they held 8 events over 9 years, including the Ogasawara Music Festival in 2018 to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the return of the Ogasawara Islands, and BONIN ISLAND JAZZ 2023 Winter in 2023. It is also working on environmental projects, cultural exchanges, human resource development, and broadcasting.
