MICHIYO YAGI TALON Hyper – Koto Ensemble Vol.6
Business Overview
This is a performance of a one-of-a-kind koto quartet using 4 kinds of koto (13 stringed), 21 stringed, 17 stringed and 18 stringed koto, incorporating not only classical playing techniques but also extended playing techniques using sticks and contrabass bows, electronics and singing.
The members are Michiyori Yagi, Maki Isogai, Hiroko Takahashi and Raku Okuno. A total of 11 pieces will be performed, including “Prologue, ”“ Caprine, ” “Kagero, ”“ Umeboshi Jam, ” “Tsuyukan, ”“ Rosemary's Baby, ” “Momonomi, ”“ Mirage, ” “Zuizuitsukkorobashi, ”“ Caprime II, ” and “Drunk Dragon. ”.
All songs were composed or arranged by Yagi, and seven of them were new premieres. He wrote a number of original pieces that took advantage of all the characteristics of the traditional Japanese instrument, the koto, and created an unprecedented new sound, which advanced the music of the koto ensemble. The performance showed the possibility of the future.

Since their first performance in 2018, they have given many performances in halls and live houses.
