Business Overview

This fantasy film depicts the "Curse of the Book" in which a town is engulfed in the world of a story after a book is stolen. This is the story of Mikura Fukafuyu, a girl who hates reading, and Mashiro, a mysterious girl with ears, who pursues a book thief and embarks on an adventure to save the town. Through its stories, the book addresses themes such as access to knowledge, the value of self-determination, and the passing on of culture, and is intellectually and emotionally rich in content that asks the audience about the meaning of reading.
