January 2009 – JVC Kenwood Holdings Co., Ltd., a joint holding company formed by the integration of Victor Company of Japan and Kenwood Corporation, announced that it would merge Victor Entertainment and JVC Entertainment (formerly JVC Entertainment Networks) in order to reorganize the entertainment business including music and video. JVC Entertainment's artist management business will be merged with Victor Music Publishing, which will handle music rights management and artist management.
April 1 of the same year: Company name changed to "Victor Music Arts Co., Ltd."
