Business Overview

In response to the Japan Society's 100 year anniversary series of Yukio Mishima's birth, dance company CHAiroiPLIN performed the daring novel "Hashi-zukushi: The Seven Bridges" as part of its "Daring Literature" series.
CHAiroiPLIN is a company that has created three-dimensional dances of literary works ranging from the modern to the classical, including plays, novels, rakugo, and folk tales. This work reimagines Mishima Yukio's "Hashizukushi" and launches it as a new dance work. By intersecting the structural beauty of literature with physical expression, he tried to visualize the world hidden behind words on the stage.

Modern Times GK was established in 2019 to strengthen the foundation of dance company CHAiroiPLIN. It was incorporated in order to establish a sustainable management system in line with the expansion of domestic and overseas performances and the full-scale development of human resource development business. The center is working to improve cultural arts and to disseminate them internationally, focusing on the creation of works, performance projects, regional cooperation, citizen participation, and nurturing of the next generation.
