[Godo Kaisha world theater company]
The world theater company, its predecessor, was established in 1994 as the Drama Department of Ehime University School of Medicine. In 2011, Yukako MOTOBO became the 10th leader of the group, based in Shikoku. In 2017, when Honbo graduated from the Ehime University School of Medicine, it became a working adult theater group composed of doctors and medical students. The members of the troupe are mainly doctors and medical students from the university, and they have been actively performing tours mainly in western Japan and participating in national competitions since then, and have been highly evaluated.
Since 2020, the company has adopted a production system in which actors and staff are recruited from all over the country for each production, under the leadership of the representative Yukako MOTOBO. The group has toured all over the country including Mie, Tokyo, Matsuyama, Fukuoka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Toyooka, Sendai, Toyohashi, and Kyoto, and has been actively expanding nationwide. In June 2023, he established a limited company, world theater company, and is not only promoting the world theater company's powerful works, but also creating a platform for human resources to connect the nation, and producing projects to connect regions, with a view to expanding overseas.
