TOKYO DUCK VOL.3

Business Overview
Tokyo Hangamo aims to reconsider "China" and "Asian images," which have been consumed as symbols, as reality containing contradictions and pain. In this performance, using Seonghai "Yellow River Chorus" and Ground Zero "Revolutionary Beijing Opera" as a clue, the relationship between propaganda music and individual reality will be reexamined, and through new works by composers from Japan and China, it will be confronted from the current viewpoint.

Profile
Tokyo Duck
Tokyo Duck is a collective, network and platform that explores new possibilities in contemporary Asian music. We reinterpret traditional music, revolutionary songs, and pop culture, and challenge existing frameworks and values while opening up new horizons for sound. Through concerts, joint productions and releases, we promote active exchanges between past and future, tradition and innovation. Rather than reproducing an idealized "Asian image," it seeks a more realistic and ever-changing musical identity that reflects the complexity of contemporary experience and artistic expression. By connecting diverse voices and perspectives, we create a place where tradition and experiment meet and new interpretations emerge.
