Business Overview

Oedo Rakugo Club, one of the oldest adult rakugo clubs in Japan, held a 50 year anniversary performance at the Fukagawa Edo Museum in Koto Ward.

For many years, the association has been working to convey the appeal of Edo's rakugo culture to local people. As the culmination of these performances, the program of the four seasons was incorporated, and efforts were made to enable the audience to experience Edo culture.

The event attracted more than 90% of the capacity, and many people commented that the time passed quickly "Not only the rakugo, but also the videos and color things introducing the progress of the circle were substantial and I enjoyed it."

There are various occupations such as self-employed, school staff, mass media, financial industry, housewives and retired people. Their ages vary, but they all share a love for rakugo.

Anyone who loves rakugo can join the club, regardless of experience or skill.
Once a month, they have a meeting to criticize each other's rakugo, and they hold yose about three times a year.
