Profile
[Body Arts Laboratory]
WWFes, a physical arts festival run by a collective of dance artists, has been held in Tokyo since 2009 and celebrated its 12 th festival in February 2026. It is characterized by a program that emphasizes the creative process and radicality by questioning the environment in which artists create, and by a curatorial system many artists are involved.
WWFes has been held since 2021 at multiple venues including theaters, alternative spaces, and public spaces in Minato-ku, Tokyo, under the theme of "place" in a broad sense. The festival has explored the unique environment that forms around a place with perception and memory as the body crosses the place with the keyword of “Rahen Aroundness ”.
