- In order for the visually impaired, non-native speakers of Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean, and visitors who are not good at difficult Japanese to enjoy this exhibition, (1) a portable exhibition guidebook with tactile drawings, displays, and reading functions, and (2) a leaflet in easy Japanese were produced and provided.

It was opened in 1978 as our country's first museum dedicated to the study, research and introduction of the ancient civilizations of West Asia and Egypt. The purpose of the Institute is to conduct research and surveys on the Ancient Orient, to collect, store and display materials on the Ancient Orient, and to make them available to researchers, thereby contributing to the improvement and development of academic culture.
