The Door of Opportunity - Connecting the Future of Everyone through Art

Business Overview
The purpose of this project was to foster self-affirmation and understanding of others through free expression activities for local children, users of welfare facilities, children who have difficulty in attending school, and the general public, with SHOGEN, a nationally active painter, as a lecturer.
In the workshop, after the lecture by the lecturer, the participants worked on painting the board with paint and looked back. We tried to create an environment in which everyone could participate without worries, regardless of age or characteristics.
In addition, live performances with poets and musicians were held in conjunction with the workshops, providing an opportunity for a comprehensive artistic experience combining sound, language and color. The works were displayed on the shrine grounds and in a gallery in front of the station, creating an opportunity for a diverse range of people, including local residents and visitors, to appreciate them.
Community staff and volunteers participated in the operation, and in cooperation with related organizations, a system was established to support children's expression activities throughout the community.

Profile
[Bushu-Ome Kotohira-jinja Shrine Reverence Association]
This association is an organization that works to promote exchanges between local residents and pass on local culture through the preservation and utilization of Bushu-Ome Kotohira-jinja Shrine (commonly known as Konpira-sama), which is a historical cultural resource of the region.
The shrine was once devastated by a landslide, but in 2008 it was restored through voluntary restoration activities. Since then, the shrine has continued environmental improvement and cultural projects in cooperation with the local community.
In recent years, it has enhanced its function as a regional hub by carrying out repair projects using crowdfunding and other means.
