The 16 Koenji Engei Festival

Business Overview
In the Koenji area of Suginami Ward, there are shops and temples and shrines that hold rakugo performances, and there has been a culture of supporting yose performing arts throughout the town. By consolidating the festival as a 'festival' for a certain period of time, more entertainment fans and local residents came to recognize Koenji as a 'town of entertainment.'. Other than rakugo, it is also responsible for popularizing traditional performing arts as a whole, such as kodan storytelling, rokyoku, kamikiri, and daikagura.
