Proper chopstick use (or a condensed screen)

Business Overview
To what extent can we say that our actions are of our own volition?
Are we really solely responsible for our actions?
"How to Use Chopsticks Correctly" is a research project started in 2024 by Haruka Saihashi. I moved my body to reconsider the terms "will" and "responsibility," which are used ambiguously in everyday life. In this performance, the second work in the series "How to Use Chopsticks Correctly (or Condensed Screen)" will be performed. While the keyword of the previous work was "bodies choreographed by social norms," the keyword of this work is "individuals who are required to be identical." Acts of unknown origin appear, mix, and disappear. Create that kind of space.

Profile
[Haruka Nishihashi]
Creates performance using the body. He is interested in bodies that are "moved" by social norms and environmental factors, such as bodies that follow part-time job manuals or hold chopsticks in good manners. Currently, he is focusing on his research "How to Use Chopsticks Correctly" to dismantle and rethink the two concepts of "will" and "responsibility." He won the Best New Artist Award in the 2023 Yokohama Dance Collection. As a performer, he appeared in the works of Spacenot Blank, asamicro, Koichiro Tamura, etc.
