Okutama Forest Ikimono Exhibition: Sculptures and Living Things of Tama Tama

Business Overview
Aiming to realize a society in harmony with local communities, a place was created where users of Tokyo Tama Gakuen, a support facility for people with intellectual disabilities, foreign staff, local children, and artists could interact through artistic activities.
Tomohiro Nagahata, an art artist, created a collaborative work on the theme of "living things" through workshops for facility users and with local residents, carefully building relationships. In addition, the art club held regularly at the facility was managed by foreign staff and became a place for continuous creative activities.
The works created in this way were displayed in the forest space where the users were growing the raw wood shiitake mushrooms, and were presented in the open-air exhibition "Okutama Mori Ikimono Exhibition: Sculptures and Living Things of Tamatama Tamashii".
During the exhibition, visitors participated in dance workshops and shiitake mushroom work, creating a variety of exchanges.
