Business Overview

Held a briefing session on "The Life of a Bird" (tentative). “The Life of a Bird (tentative) ” is a film about Kim Soo-kyung, a linguist from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and a divided family; migratory birds such as black-crowned spoonbills and white-naped cranes that cross the Japanese archipelago and the Korean Peninsula and breed and transit around the DMZ; and Korean schools. Taking the debriefing as a small practice to imagine the plurality of history, we showed the background of the production, the concept, the research, the script under writing, the shooting materials, and presented the current progress. In addition, "Jung Jong-yeol research material archive" under production is reported.

Profile

Lee Hu-jin
Photographer, filmmaker and artist. She was born in Tokyo in 1991 to her father, who studied abroad and got a job soon after the "100,000 Foreign Students Plan" started in 1983, and her mother who went to Japan with him. He lived in Seoul between the ages of four and seven, and then returned to Tokyo to receive Japanese schooling. He studied photography at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (2010-2015) and video and contemporary art at the Tokyo University of the Arts (2017-2020). Since 2011, he has been creating works that question his roots.
