The 24 Hour Challenge Hachijo Taiko Executive Committee was formed to promote the traditional drumming culture of Hachijo Island. We sponsor the annual 24 Hour Challenge Hachijo Taiko Event to promote local culture through 24 hours of drum performance. Local volunteers and other interested parties participate in activities aimed at handing down traditions and revitalizing the region.
