Bokuyoken is a creative collective led by writer, film director, and theatre director Yu Shibuya. Across stage and screen, it explores the complexities of human relationships and emotions that are often overlooked in society. Past works include the film "Umbrellas for Miharu" and the stage productions "Boy Tachibana Cried Wolf," "The Adventures of Infinita,” and "The First Few Minutes of the Evening." Shibuya’s works have been selected for and received awards at film festivals in Japan and abroad. His publications include the monologue collections "Ana" and "Hazama." In October 2026, Bokuyoken will stage "Battan," a play about Japan’s death penalty system.
