FY2025 1st Term Social Grant

Business Overview

This is the second year of the project, which started in FY 2024, with the aim of deepening understanding of diversity and fostering communication that respects each other using theatrical techniques.
In the first year (FY 2024), we developed and implemented a role-play game called "My Non/Common Sense," which deals with cross-cultural friction and microaggressions, and a simulation game called "Shelter Skelter," which allows participants to experience cooperation in a multicultural environment. Under the script and direction of Seri Kurosawa (traveling director) and Hayataro Fujii (playwright, director, actor/gento gekijo), workshops were held with people concerned with education, medical care, welfare, administration and community planning.
In this project (FY 2025), a video introducing the workshop was produced and training for facilitators and scriptwriters was conducted. In addition, the workshop was developed in cooperation with refugee support organizations, the government, media organizations, and public cultural facilities. The foundation for improvement and dissemination of the program was established through continuous hearings.
