Business Overview

◆Experience class completed in 5 sessions
"Feel free! Have fun! Traditional performing arts! PON and Kotsuzumi Classroom in Asakusa 2026" is a compact hands-on class by Hideyuki Mochizuki and Sajuro Mochizuki.
Group lessons for up to 20 people take 60 minutes per lesson. It is a rough system compared to traditional Japanese music lessons because you can participate in lessons without bringing anything, and you can rent a chair instead of sitting on your heels.
Students practice a classic nagauta called "Goro" in a total of five lessons, and after the lesson on the last day, they have a recital with a supporting performance by a professional performer. All these expenses are included in the lesson fee, so it can be said that it is an all-inclusive class.

◆For those who are not sure if they can complete all 5 visits ...
Six one-off trial sessions were held about three months before the start of the five classes.
This helps to eliminate any anxiety about playing a musical instrument or playing Japanese music for the first time, and helps the students to check the atmosphere of the instructor and the classroom, so that they can smoothly start a trial class.

Profile

【 General Incorporated Association Tataspo-Pon 】
our association strives to improve and popularize traditional performing arts such as hogaku bayashi and nihon buyo (traditional Japanese dance) as well as classical hogaku, with the aim of contributing to the development of Japanese art and culture.
We plan and manage music performances and experience programs with an eye to making people think positively of traditional and formal elements that are often regarded as old and difficult.
For the music performance "Ohayashi Project," which is the main project, in order to reach a wide range of generations and audiences, a highly entertaining program is implemented by combining "traditional Japanese music bayashi" with music from all kinds of instruments and genres.
