Business Overview

As an experimental platform between architecture, graphic design and the visual arts, 019 has explored new relationships in exhibition and public spaces. Based in a project space in Ghent, the company is developing activities in Belgium and abroad, creating diverse interfaces that connect art and society.
In this exhibition, we revisit several projects that 019 has worked on in recent years and reconstruct them as new bench works.
Materials and ideas derived from past activities were incorporated into each bench, such as the exhibitions "Reservoir" and "Radiator," a landscape installation in the castle park, a stage composition for a design exhibition, and a bouncy castle (balloon playground), a miniature reproduction of a former welding factory in Ghent, the base of 019.
