Children's Art Experience Project on the Island

Business Overview
This project was implemented with the aim of helping children living on remote islands develop the ability to relate to others and a sense of independence through cultural and artistic experiences and interaction with diverse people.
Eight children living in Kozushima, who have limited opportunities to participate in full-fledged performing arts due to geographical requirements, participated in a performing arts workshop held in Tokyo (Yoyogi) and participated in activities before and after the workshop.
They held two preparatory workshops on the island, including setting their stay goals. They took on the challenge of a three-day program on the island, where they met a multinational cast that embraced each person positively and participants from outside the island in an environment where English and Japanese were exchanged, and they became familiar with different cultures and expressions while successfully presenting on stage at a large theater. After their return, they held a retrospective workshop and a parent-teacher briefing, which was a valuable step toward eliminating the experience gap in remote islands.
