The Polyphony Between Expression and Theater in Adriano Banchieri's Delights at the Mansion

Business Overview
This project focuses on Madrigale, a multi-voiced composition from 16 ~ 17 century Italy, and explores and disseminates performance practices based on the latest academic research in collaboration with performing groups and musicologists active in Switzerland.
In addition to performances in Japan and Switzerland, the program included ensemble workshops and open lessons by co-artist Domus Artis, a basic ensemble class by Il Madrigarone for beginners and choral enthusiasts, and an open symposium by musicologist Rodolfo Zucitellini.
The project deepened the understanding of Renaissance music from the three aspects of performance, practice, and academic research, and widely shared the new appeal and potential of ancient music.

[Il Madrigarone]
Established in 2023, this ensemble specializes in Italian music from the 16-17 century.
The Festival of Diminution was held in January 2024, followed by The Christian's View of Rome in May 2025 and The School of Madrigare in July of the same year, all of which were well received. Aiming to provide old music entertainment that is open to the audience, we are also actively working to explore all possibilities of performing old music.
