Business Overview
This theater was restructured as a work depicting the causes of Hamlet's unusual changes from the point of view of people around him who attempt to discover the causes, and it reperformed Shakespeare's "Hamlet" which was performed in Tokyo in 2024 in Gumi City, South Korea.
He explored the possibilities of Shakespeare's language today by reconstructing the play to 100 minutes without adding any new lines.
For the revival, the number of performers was reduced and the production was brushed up in order to expand overseas. Through the image of Hamlet, which can also be seen as a recluse in modern society, he aimed to share the universality of his work beyond national borders.

Kamigyo is a theatrical company founded in 2021.
He works with the concept of chewing plays from all ages to nourish our future like a paper fish.
In 2022, he passed the first stage screening at the Drama Contest, one of the largest director competitions in Japan.
In 2024, he performed The Doll's House at the Shengyi International Theatre Festival in China.
In 2026, he performed Hamlet part1 at the Gumi Asian Theatre Festival in South Korea.
