Business Overview

The "Nohgaku Training Experience to Colorize Your Day" was held with the aim of allowing people to casually experience Nohgaku, a traditional Japanese art, in their daily lives and become familiar with its charm.

Hou TASAKI, a Noh actor of the Hosho school, and Izumi YAMADA, a Noh actor of the Kongo school, were invited as instructors, and the hands-on program centered on practice of utai (chant) and shimai (dance), which are the basics of Nohgaku, was developed. The participants learned vocalization, movements, and how to handle fans, and actually performed utai and dances.
The chanting was taught one-on-one, and the shimai was taught in a group format, with the aim of providing instruction that is easy for beginners to understand. In addition, during the break time, there were scenes of interaction between instructors and participants in the waiting room, providing an opportunity not only to acquire skills through practice but also to feel closer to traditional performing arts through direct interaction with Noh actors.
