Performance Kids Tokyo Recruitment of Performers

Would you like to create an original stage production with the choreographer and dancer Naoya Aoki?
On the last day, Saturday, March 21, there will be a presentation performance at Shinjuku Culture Center.

What is Performance Kids Tokyo?

Professional dance, theater and music artists are sent to schools, halls and orphanages for about 10 days to hold workshops and create original stage productions starring children.

Artist

Naoya Aoki (choreographer and dancer)

Born 1973 in Akiruno, Tokyo. They grow up running through the rich nature of Akikawa Valley. After enjoying youth baseball and playing in the local Matsuribayashi Hozonkai Kodomotsuren (Kanda school), he started dancing at the age of 16. Learn the basics of jazz dance, classical ballet and modern dance. In addition, he studied body work, deepened his knowledge of the structure of the body, and developed his own methods "contact x balance" and "point work". Focusing on the causal relationship between necessity and chance, she works extensively in search of "what dance gives to humans". In 2004, he participated in the establishment of Noism, a residential dance company in Niigata City. He greatly contributed to the launch and overseas tours. In 2013, he founded the Japan Dance Project with his friends, and in 2014, he presented "CLOUD/CROWD" (a performance sponsored by the New National Theater) at the New National Theater. In 2015, he was invited by the Japan Ballet Association. "Muto-inimine" was announced. Selected as a public hall modern dance revitalization project in fiscal 2016. He presented 'Mapping' at a performance in Sendai. He is being investigated as a floating person between the "Zetsu" of traditional dance and the "Myo" of contemporary works.

  • If there are many applicants, a lottery will be held. (*However, Performance Kids Tokyo inexperienced people will be given priority.) )
