The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo have been implementing the Tokyo Artist Accelerator Program (abbreviated as TAAP) since FY5, a program to support young artists in the field of art and video.
We are pleased to announce that we have held an open call for artists for the third phase and have selected 12 supporting artists after the first selection (documents) and the main selection (presentation) from 105 applications, which is more than the previous time.
TAAP is a companion support program that focuses on the verbalization of artists' works and supports them in terms of both improving their speaking skills and strengthening their concepts.
In the future, we will support growth through a mentoring program with the selection committee and mentors for about 8 months, and we plan to hold a presentation stage in the fall to announce the results. For details, please see the website.
