"metote-lab" is a laboratory in which deaf people, deaf people, and CODA (hearing people with deaf parents) who speak visual language (Japan sign language) take the lead in creating a place for emergence (home) based on each person's senses and language. We carry out various projects on the theme of cultivating a natural culture consisting of visual language.

metote-lab is implementing various projects on the theme of cultivating a natural culture consisting of visual language. Utilizing the working space "5005" based on sign language and visual language, as part of disseminating "natural culture born from zero," we hold a monthly "Metote Open Day" to experimentally open up bases in the city.

"DeafSpace" is a space designed to be comfortable for Deaf people based on the physical sensations of sign language. Relax and watch images, sit and take a break, chat with staff members ... How about opening your senses by looking at the visual language in everyday life?
