[Registration] Next Creation Program Kids & Youth Open Campus (Tokyo University of the Arts)

With the aim of further deepening each child's understanding and experience of the arts and culture fields according to their own interests and interests, this is a program in which university professors and others serve as instructors, allowing children to experience the joy of making, expressing, and thinking through making and live music in multiple genres of the arts.

Program

1.Painting 'Self-Portrait' - Following the Art University Oil Painting Tradition

Following the tradition of the graduation project for the oil painting (Western painting) major, we will draw a "self-portrait." This course does not ask whether you are good or bad at drawing. Through the creation and appreciation of self-portraits, let's think a little deeper than usual about "Society in which we live today" and the true self.

2.a metal accessory made from metal

We use "tin," which has a low melting point among metals, luster, beautiful color, harmless and easy to handle, to make a plate material, and create accessories with patterns by chisel or hammer.

3.Make your own big flower!

Together with students of the University of the Arts, they cut a large sheet of colored paper into the shape of a flower petal, draw a picture, decorate it, and assemble it to make a flower as large as their own height. After completion, let's have a viewing party with each person holding a big flower.

4.Play with the University of Tokyo "Percussion Instrument Demolition New Book"

It is a percussion instrument that every elementary and junior high school student must be exposed to. When the magic of the University of the Arts is applied to such a familiar instrument, what kind of sound will it produce? Students and graduates of the Department of Instrumental Music, Faculty of Music, Percussion Major, will fully convey the appeal of percussion instruments.

5.Listening to and Playing the Japanese Instrument Shakuhachi

You will learn about the history of the shakuhachi, the structure of the instrument, the posture and breathing method, and try playing the shakuhachi along with the performance of the shakuhachi major in the Department of Japanese Music. You can listen, know, play and enjoy Japanese music.

6.Local Art Activities Fieldwork

The day after tomorrow morning glories are being distributed nationwide, and the seeds are being passed on to the University of the Arts and the residents of the Ueno area. We will collect information about the community through Asagao and make a newspaper the day after tomorrow.
* You will be walking around the university area (outdoor activities), so please prepare a hat, parasol, or other protection against heatstroke.
