【 Event 】 Tokyo/Katsushika City Art & Culture Collaboration Project | KAWAMURA Koheisai Shadow Picture Workshop "WHAT'S THE SHADOW THAT FEATURES?"

~ Research the rivers, wells, and underground water systems surrounding Katsushika, and create and perform shadow puppets ~
This is a workshop in which you look for "water" hidden here and there in Katsushika, and create your own shadow puppets. At the end of the day, shadow artists Kawamura Koheisai and musicians perform shadow pictures. You can take home the shadow puppets made on the day. What kind of shadow pictures will appear? Grow up! It got tiny! A shadowy world full of wonders. Why don't we all play together?

Workshop (children only)

From walking around Katsushika looking for a connection between Katsushika Ward and water, we developed ideas for making shadow pictures and created shadow puppets.

Recital (Parents are welcome)

I will perform shadow pictures with Mr. Kawamura and musicians.
* Parents are welcome to watch the silhouette performance scheduled to start at 15:20.
Please come to the venue between 15:10 ~ 15:20.

Notes

  • Each session includes about 30 minutes of outdoor activities, so please take precautions against heatstroke. The outdoor activities are subject to change depending on the weather.
  • Includes a lunch break (approximately 1 hour). Please prepare your own lunch. You can eat in the venue. The venue is air-conditioned, but please keep it cool for safety management. Please take your garbage with you.
  • We may record the event with photos and videos and post them on our website at a later date. If you cannot take pictures, please let us know when you apply.
  • Please note that the contents are subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances.
