Taking a broad perspective on the relationship between art and culture and society, this series of lectures hones the thinking and skills necessary for solving problems, creating new value, and achieving goals. Through lectures, workshops, discussions, interviews, etc., lecturers, facilitators/advisers, and students engage in dialogue and support cross-disciplinary networking, while creating opportunities for students to realize their own projects and plans.

Target
Artists and culture professionals with at least 5 years of experience in the arts and culture field (mainly non-profit activities)
Self-managed artists, expressers, producers, technicians, curators, coordinators, art managers, staff of arts organizations and art NPOs, program officers of arts and culture support organizations, cultural staff of governments and corporations, researchers, etc. (regardless of field)
Eligibility
Those who understand the purpose and theme of this course and whose activities are mainly based in Tokyo must meet all of the following requirements.
- Intent to proactively improve the environment for artistic and cultural creation.
- They are willing to devise solutions to problems and make concrete efforts to improve their activities.
- Attend all programs and actively interact and discuss with instructors and students.
- Develop and submit Problem Solving/Value Creation Strategy reports. * 1
- Even after taking the course, students are willing to engage in activities that contribute to the promotion of arts and culture, and cooperate with surveys conducted by ARTNOTO and Arts Council Tokyo.
- Cooperate in public relations activities for this project. * 2
*1 Re-edited and published on websites and reports, etc. Copyright of reports and other deliverables created by students belongs to Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo.
*2 Student lists, photos, and footage from each session will be posted on ARTNOTO or Arts Council Tokyo websites, reports, and other materials.
