[Call for Participation] Cultural Utilization and Promotion of Modern and Contemporary Residential Architecture | "Tour (with a cup of green tea)" (Kazue House)

Outline of "Tour (with a cup of green tea)"

A tour of the Kazue House (with a cup of green tea) will be held as part of the "2026 Cultural Utilization and Dissemination of Modern and Contemporary House Architecture Project." During the tour, Mr. Mitsuo Okawa, who made great efforts to register the Kazue family residence as a cultural property, will give an explanation, and a tea ceremony will be held to enjoy sweets and a cup of green tea in the house.
This event is co-hosted with the Ota Ward Board of Education.

Kazue Family Residence

It was completed in 1939. It is a Japanese-style house designed by Kakuji Matsunoi of Vories Architectural Office.
It is characterized by its design combining Spanish style and Sukiya-zukuri style, as well as its spatial structure with an authentic tea room, and is registered as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
