Outline of "Special Opening during Construction"

As part of the "Project for Cultural Utilization and Dissemination of Modern and Contemporary Housing Architecture in FY 2026," a special public exhibition will be held during construction on Sunday, November 15. Currently, work is underway to preserve and repair the atelier of the Mikishi family home for future generations. In this special exhibition, you will be able to see the building just before the pillars and beams are repaired, the roof is hung, and the facings of the exterior walls are applied. You can see the parts that will be invisible once the exterior walls are installed only now. This is a rare opportunity to experience a building that can only be seen during construction and that cannot be seen only by its completed appearance. In this event, we will introduce the building under construction with an explanation by Mr. Tomohisa Higuchi, the representative of Architecture Succession Research Institute Co., Ltd., who designed the repair work.

Rain or shine
* The schedule may be cancelled or changed due to bad weather, construction conditions, etc.
