2024 Overseas Dispatch Program for Art Management Personnel

Round-trip airfare between Japan and client (economy class)
local accommodation expenses
Daily allowance (10,000 yen per day of stay in the country)
Other support, such as coordination of schedules and programs at the client site, and introduction and advice of local personnel

dispatch target

All of the following conditions must be met in each field

The target art field is selected according to the partner.
* Producers, directors and stage technicians in the field of performing arts (Theater, dance, and music in general)
* Art management personnel such as directors and curators in the field of visual arts
Interested in performing overseas, exchange with the overseas sector, or co-production, but no or little work experience overseas
Must have at least three years of experience in the field of art
Residents living in the Tokyo metropolitan area and engaging mainly in activities in Tokyo
Possess a valid passport with the required remaining period at the time of application

Second Public Offering

Destination 1: Indonesian Dance Festival, Drama Reading Festival

Overview: They will be dispatched to coincide with Indonesia's largest international festival of contemporary dance (Jakarta) which will open on November 2, 2024. He also plans to visit the Drama Reading Festival (Yogyakarta), which will introduce plays by leading Japanese and foreign writers. It is an opportunity to experience the cutting edge of dance and theater from around the world, meet with people involved, and build a network.
dispatch time: November 2, 2024 to November 10 (planned) (maximum stay at the site: about 7 days)
dispatch target: Producers, directors, technicians, etc. mainly young people involved in performing arts (Theater, dance, etc.)

Destination 2: CINARS (Montreal)

Overview: We will send them to CINARS, the largest art fair in North America, which is held every two years in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In addition to showcases, various programs such as fringes, booths and conferences will be held during the exhibition. It is a place where various genres such as dance and theater gather together, and through participation in programs and meetings with related parties, you will experience the world scale performing arts.

First public offering

For the 1st dispatch in FY 2024, we are inviting applicants to the Venice Biennale and Rome (scheduled), the world's largest international art exhibitions. The Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition, which has a history of more than 120 years and still has a great influence on the world stage, will provide an opportunity to get a bird's-eye view of the world's contemporary art trends and create a network with people involved in art from around the world.

Destination: Venice Biennale, Rome

Overview: They will be dispatched to coincide with the opening of the 60 th Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition on April 20, 2024. The theme this time is "Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere". Adriano Pedrosa (Brazil), the first curator from South America at the Venice Biennale, will focus on artists traveling globally. At the same time, it will be an opportunity to build a network with art people from around the world who will gather at the opening. We also plan to visit Rome.
