【Open Call for Applications】FY2026 Overseas Study Visit Program for Arts Management Professionals 2nd|16th Gwangju Biennale, Seoul, Korea

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo are implementing the "Overseas Study Visit Program for Arts Management Professionals" project to dispatch young art management personnel who will play a role in connecting artists and society to overseas festivals and other events for a short period of time.

2026年度第2回では、アジアを代表する国際現代美術展のひとつ光州ビエンナーレ 韓国）への派遣を実施します。芸術監督はホー・ツーニェンが務め、初のアーティスト起用として注目を集めます。また、同時期にソウルで開催される大規模なアートフェアKiaf SEOUL、Frieze Seoulの視察も予定しています。国際展開を志す若手アートマネジメント人材の方々からのご応募をお待ちしています。

(We plan to dispatch to all 7 regions in FY 2026.)

• Round-trip airfare between Japan and client (economy class)
• local accommodation expenses
• Daily allowance: 15000 yen per 1 night stay
• overseas travel insurance
• Other support includes coordination of schedules and programs at the client site, and on-site introduction and advice of relevant personnel.

Overview

They will be dispatched during the Gwangju Biennale, Kiaf SEOUL, and Frieze Seoul to experience contemporary art trends and the world-class art market, as well as to build an international network with art professionals from various countries.

Examples of activities during the stay

Participation in biennial tours, gallery and museum visits, market visits, talk programs, reception parties, etc.
