We will hold a kick-off event prior to the International Conference 2026 where everyone can connect through culture. Artists and researchers on the theme of "culture living together" with the sea, mountains, and land will talk about their daily thoughts and feelings. We will pass on to the plenary session the empirical rules and knowledge that expand the assumptions for future well-being.
* Multi-pieces ... The idea of focusing on the intertwining of all beings, including humans, to create the world.
The next kick-off events are scheduled to be held on Thursday, August 20 with artist Sakura Koretsune and on Thursday, September 3 with historian and Professor Tatsufumi Fujiwara.

Speaker Profile
Born in Tokyo in 1977. He completed the doctoral course of the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. With an interest in anthropology and folklore, he travels to various environments, from cities to remote areas, and continues to photograph. He won Ken Domon Award for "CORONA" (Seidosha Publishing Co., Ltd.) in 2011, and Author Award of the Photographic Society of Japan for "Marebito" (Shogakukan Publishing Co., Ltd.) and "EVEREST" (CCC Media House Co., Ltd.) in 2020. In 2023, he received the Higashikawa Prize for Special Writers. His latest books include "Shisha Panma" (Heibonsha), "K2" (Shogakukan), and "Saigo no yama" (Mt. Saigo) (Shinchosha).
