"Talents Tokyo" aims to nurture "talents" (=Talents) who have the potential to become "next-generation masters" in order to strengthen the creation and dissemination of culture from Tokyo in the field of visual media. It began in Tokyo in 2010 and has produced many graduates every year.
Additionally, various support programs are being implemented to help graduates further take their next steps. In addition to the "Next Masters Support Program" implemented since fiscal year 2014, a new "Meetup Support Program" was launched in fiscal year 2026.
By participating in international film festivals, which are usually difficult for young filmmakers to approach independently, this program can support the formation of more efficient and effective networking.
In FY 2026, NIPPON will be dispatched to the Locarno International Film Festival (Switzerland) and the Berlin International Film Festival (Germany). This time, NIPPON has announced the winners of the 79 Locarno International Film Festival to be held in August 2026.
