[Open to the public] Start Box, a creative space utilizing vacant Tokyo public housing and other stores, is now accepting applications for artists.

A creative space has been created in Itabashi-ku using vacant Tokyo public housing.
"START Box Sakashita" opens!

We are developing the "START Box" project to provide creative opportunities for young artists who are unable to secure studios and other facilities, and to support their ongoing activities.
We will open a shared atelier "START Box Sakashita" in Sakashita 1-chome, Itabashi-ku. Featuring an open space with no doors, it is a creative environment where artists can interact and work on large-scale works.
In addition to "START Box Sakashita," we are looking for artists to use the existing "START Box Sasa Hatahatsu" and "START Box Shirahige" from October.

This is a space for creative activities in the field of visual arts such as art, photography and media arts, utilizing an empty store in Tokyo public housing located in Sakashita 1-chome, Itabashi Ward.

(4) Those who live or work in Tokyo or have graduated from a school in Tokyo
(5) Those who are able to actively cooperate with community exchange events

Eligibility

Common to both individuals and organizations (In the case of an organization, the presence or absence of corporate status and the type of organization do not matter.)
All of the conditions (1) - (5) must be satisfied at the time of application
(1) The applicant needs a practice room for performing arts
(2) The applicant must be able to comply with the terms of use
(3) The applicant has performed public activities in the past or is planning to perform public activities
(4) At least half of the applicants or employers must be aged 18 to approximately 40 years old
(5) Any of the following A and B must be satisfied
(a) At least half of the applicants or employers must live or work in Tokyo, or must have graduated from a school in Tokyo
(b) The head office or head office of the organization must be located in Tokyo
