With the aim of building greater understanding and experience in areas of arts and culture which meet the interests of individual children, we are offering programs instructed by arts university professors which enable participants to experience the joy of creating, expressing, and thinking through the experience of making things and of live performance in multiple genres of arts and culture.
1. Create a shape of your choosing with slurry metal!
Participants sculpt polystyrene foam and use the prototype for aluminum casting in a specialized workshop.
2. Make a shoe horn keychain!
Participants mold die cut brass into the shape of a shoe horn using metalworking techniques.
3. Creating delightful gift cards with moving parts
By way of fun gift cards made from simple components that move, participants can experience for themselves the joy of “product design,” something affecting everything around us.
4. Build a collection of cute items through hands-on experience of different dyeing and weaving techniques
Participants try their hand at the three techniques of indigo dyeing, weaving, and printing
to build a collection of cute cloth items.
5. Game making experience using an electronic construction kit
多Participants assemble the “Rabbit Pie” microcomputer kit developed at Tama Art University and learn the basics of electronic construction. Participants can use it to write programs and run games.
