Arts Academy cultivates future leaders of artistic and cultural projects in Tokyo. Through research and training centered mainly around grant programs, we establish and present courses on the evaluation of arts and culture; courses which aim to develop the skills of future leaders in the field of theater management; and, from FY2016, courses in traditional performing arts and creative fields.
TARL is a learning program open to and created together with people who will be putting art projects into practice. Its mission is to cultivate new leaders in the arts and culture and help them develop the techniques and skills that they will need. TARL’s programs are centered on two pillars: the school “Thought, Skill, and Dialogue,” which focuses on cultivating personnel who will set art projects in motion; and “R & D,” which works to enhance the environment of and establish methodologies for operating these projects. In the school, we will launch the new “Dialogue Edition” in addition to the existing “Basic Program – Thought and Skill Edition,” which develops the fundamental skills that art managers require.
