What we do

Art Site Kozushima 2024 Mountains, Moving, Sea, Wandering

  • Organization : Alter Mine Executive Committee
  • Section : None
  • Type of Grant Program : Single

Outline

The artist will tour and perform on a remote island, which differs from the urban cycle, through physical expression and performance, to see how the senses can be transformed by confronting the nature of Kozushima, with its magnificent landscape of mountains stretching out from the sea. After the opening performance at Umewaka Noh Theatre, the artist and audience will create a unique viewing experience and time together on Kozushima with an awareness of “drifting” and the “threat and grandeur of nature” in an attempt to sharpen our bodies with art.
