Purpose/objective
1. Establishment of the Nakano brand: disseminating and promoting the “Nakano Ondo”traditional song, and establishing it as Nakano’s hometown song
2. Advancement of traditional culture: aiming for the fusion of tradition and innovation through bon-odori with live music, and DJ Bon Odori
3. Local revitalization: Inviting local eating and drinking establishments to take part with the aim of boosting revitalization of the Nakano neighborhood
4. Local community-forming: Through the holding of major events by Nakano residents, the aim is to encourage relationship-building with residents in neighboring districts and strengthen the wider community.
Aiming to be a festival cherished by the local community, groups of children and local people will be invited to showcase dance and other performances during the daytime. The guest stage will feature performers including Nakayama Kinnikun, DJ Ichiro Yatsui, The Lethal Weapons, Bakujyousentai Boonboomger, Ippei Yamanaka & Tamaki, and Kinnikushinshisyudan ALLOUT. In the evening there will be bon-odori dancing performed live on stage by the Nakano Folksong & Dance Organization, as well as DJ-led bon odori with DJ KOO and DJ CELLY.
【Nakanoekimae Daibonodoritaikai Jikkouiinkai】
The Committee was established on April 26, 2013 for the purpose of planning and implementing Nakanoekimae Daibonodoritaikai, an event aimed at the popularization of Noryo Bon Odori Taikai with live music, the popularization of the Nakano Ondo traditional song, the revitalization of local retail services including eating and drinking establishments, and the formation of a local community.
