Outline

Under the theme of “Shakuhachi Spreading to the World,” this concert demonstrated the appeal of the shakuhachi from a global perspective and explore the depths of the shakuhachi’s fascination with people around the world. While explaining the of the shakuhachi, JSPN performed high-quality performances of shakuhachi music that has traveled around the world in each period of time.

Japan Shakuhachi Professional-players Network
The shakuhachi is a traditional Japanese musical instrument that continues to spread throughout the world, and we have established an organization of only professional shakuhachi players in Japan who are in leadership positions in the shakuhachi. The main purpose of JSPN is to “enhance the value of shakuhachi music and shakuhachi performers, and to contribute to the development and spread of Japanese culture”.
